recently downloaded ie8 why does phishing filter turn itself off when i start to browse the web.? Identity Theft Information.org: "MS IE8 (beta) has built-in phishing detection named “smart screen” that turns off Norton 360 Phishing Protection. Choose a solution:
1. Leave the red X and ignore the “fix” request from 360 (you are already protected by “SmartScreen”)
OR
2. Turn off SmartScreen and 360 Phishing protection will stay ON (Open Browser, Tools, Internet Options, Advanced (last “tab”), scroll ALL THE WAY DOWN to Security, UNCHECK “Enable SmartScreen Filter”, close broswer."
